There are several considerations you should have before making your golf clubs purchase.
You can consider between a cast iron golf club and a forged iron golf club. The cast iron golf club is made from cast iron and majority of the weight of the club is around the perimeter. Because of this, the sweet spot is larger. This type of golf club is really good for golfing beginners, or those who are having trouble making full contact.
Professionals because of its design and function generally use the forged iron golf club. The center of the golf club is the center of gravity and the front of the club is slightly heavier. If you are an experienced player, you may wish to consider purchasing a forged iron golf club.
You will also need to choose a size for your golf club, from standard, to midsize to oversized.
The standard clubs are smaller, so the sweet spot is smaller as well. Generally professionals and advanced players choose to use standard clubs.
Midsize golf clubs are good as they have bigger sweet spot and are slightly larger than the standard golf clubs. Average players frequently use midsize golf clubs because they are easier to control and have a larger sweet spot.
If you have a hard time hitting the ball straight on, or a senior, you may wish to consider the oversized golf clubs. But bare in mind these clubs can be difficult to control. The bonus though, is having a huge sweet spot so when you make contact, your ball goes further!
