Choosing The Right Golf School

With the growing popularity of the sport, a number of golf schools have mushroomed all over and every school will claim that their school is the best. Before you sign up with any of them, do consider some of the points below.

Before anything, bear in mind the objective of joining a golf school is to learn about golf, how to play the game and how to become a better player, if not a great player.

The Golf Swing is the most important factor for every golfer. A more powerful and consistent golf swing is attainable for every golfer. The learner must know how to get more distance with all clubs and increase accuracy at the same time.

So, before you sign up with any of the schools, do consider the following:

1. Services Offered
The learner should always focus on the services offered by the golf schools, and not on their tall claims like "we have a nationwide network of training schools", "we have won xxx number of coach of the year awards" etc. You should see and if possible, take the opinions of someone who has already undergone some training from that school.

2. Class Size
The class size should range between 4 to 16 students, and the teacher ration should not be more than 4 to 1. However, 2 to 1 would be ideal.

3. The Coach
The coach must be an ace golfer and should have excellent communication skills to make the learner understand the game and feel comfortable and secure.

The coach must understand the skills and requirements of the learners, and he should tailor the classes according to the needs of the individual. The groups of students must be made according to the abilities.

4. Facilities
Besides having good coaches, the school must also have the facilities like the latest video analysis equipment, launch monitor technology, swing learning aids, equipment to scientifically measure the learner's swing and pinpoint his or her weakness, aids to help develop plans for measurable improvement. The staff should also know the game, and should be able to teach.

5. Price
The cost of learning must be justifiable!

All learners should analyze the services offered by the golf schools they are considering, taking the points mentioned above into considerations, before signing up with the school.
